Find a safe and appropriate location for your dehumidifier.
You can place the unit against a wall if your dehumidifier has a top-mounted air discharge. However, if this is not the case, you will need to keep the dehumidifier away from the walls and other obstructions to allow the air to circulate around the machine. It is also important to keep doors and windows closed while you are running the dehumidifier to help it run more efficiently.
